The Interior Cup - Western Canadas Largest Adult Ball Hockey Tournament

INFORMATION

DATES
The Interior Cup is held annually in Penticton, BC, on the May long weekend.
May 15-17, 2026.
(All Playoff and championship games are played on Sunday Night, to accommodate teams for early travel on Monday)

Penticton, BC - this tournament is a perfect combination of competitive ball hockey and great weather.


DIVISION, ENTRY FEE, AND PRIZE MONEY
A Division:
 Entry Fee $2000 (Prize = $200 x number of teams entered)
B Division: Entry Fee $2000 (Prize = $100 x number of teams entered)
 C Division: Entry Fee $1800 (Rec Division)
D/E Divisions: Entry Fee $1800 (Rec Division)

 

NEW REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:
Partial Payments will NOT be accepted.

 

  1. A spot will be HELD for teams who pay their entire fees.
  2. Once a division has 4 teams, teams will become SECURED, with tournament participation guaranteed. 
  3. If a division cannot be filled, teams within it will be provided with an appropriate option.  This may include a full refund OR the offer to play in a different division (only if it fits within the existing tournament structure).
  4. Once secured, should a team need to forfeit their spot, a 25% refund will be provided. Please ensure you can field a team before registering and paying. 


SCHEDULING
*All teams will play their first game on Friday between 4 pm and 11 pm. Please communicate to your team that an early Friday game time is possible, and plan accordingly. I will strive to ensure all teams are content with their schedule, but I cannot make promises regarding game times.


OFFICIATING
We use top-level officials who are brought in from different locations in BC. Our officials have worked at provincial, regional, national, and world ball hockey championships. Officiating is of very high quality for this event.


SET UP & NUMBER OF GAMES
Guaranteed 3 games.
Friday: All teams play their first round-robin game.  
Saturday:  All teams play their 2 remaining round-robin games. 
Sunday: Playoffs. 



RULES
CBHA guidelines are followed with some additional tournament-specific rules.
Rules will be sent to the captains of all accepted teams.
